Life Lately: August

August was a good month. For some reason I feel like I didn’t have much of a summer, but looking back at the photos it was pretty great.

Amazing birthday cocktail at Sabai Cafe. I also got some incredible massaman curry, it was so good I forgot to take a picture.

Sweet Life date with Jack to celebrate my birthday too. We got earl grey tea, blackberry cheesecake, and tiramisu. If you are ever in Eugene, you must stop here.

These little monkeys turned one too! They are getting so big. I have no idea what Percy is doing with his legs here, weirdo.

We went to Portland for the Portland Thorns vs. Chicago Red Stars game. There was such a great atmosphere in the stadium, Portland loves soccer.

And we went to Blue Star Donuts, of course. So.flipping.good. We got the blueberry bourbon basil, passion fruit with cacao nibs, apple cider fritter, and they threw in two glazed donuts for us. No regrets.

Yellow watermelon! If you can find one, get it! My TJ’s had a bunch. I chopped some up, and tossed it with some feta and fresh mint. Love.

We have been trying to teach Percy to use a cat leash. He kind of gets it now, and loves playing in the grass. He was belly crawling everywhere because of the harness and it was hilarious. Sometimes we do things to our pets solely for our amusement. He does love it though.

We discovered and Irish pub in Eugene. Guinness and Harp black and tansΒ have been my favorite lately. It’s such a cute little place, exactly what an Irish pub should feel like.

I went on a 4 mile walk last Saturday along the bike path. It took me through some wildlife pond areas, and there were heron, ducks and geese everywhere.

Summer sunsets.
